Tandem Paragliding in Interlaken: Which Flight Should You Book?
Updated October 20, 2026 · 5 min read
Short answer
For most visitors the most-reviewed flight is the safe choice: Interlaken: Tandem Paragliding Flight with Pilot costs €194.17 per person, has 4.9 stars from 2,787 reviews and is listed at 1.5 hours in total. That total is the whole outing. The flight itself is much shorter.
Our list has nine paragliding offers, from €183.38. Most of them sell the same basic product.
The flights compared
| Flight | Price | Reviews | Listed duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| Tandem Paragliding Flight with Pilot | €194.17 | 4.9 · 2,787 | 1.5 hours |
| Paragliding Tandem Flight in Interlaken | €194.17 | 4.9 · 1,140 | 1.5 hours |
| Tandem Paragliding Flight with experienced pilot | €194.71 | 4.9 · 676 | 1.5 hours |
| Tandem Paragliding with Mountain and Lake Views | €183.38 | 4.8 · 87 | 1 – 1.5 hours |
| Mürren: Paragliding Panorama Tandem Flight | €204.96 | 4.8 · 242 | 2 hours |
The first three differ by 54 cents. Choosing between them on price is pointless. Their descriptions don’t say which launch site, which pilot team or which photo package each one uses; that is on the booking page, and it is the thing worth reading before you pay.
What the cheaper one actually offers
The €183.38 flight is the only listing that states its height: 500, 800 or 1,100 vertical metres. That reads like a choice of flight length, so look at the booking page to see whether the higher options cost more and which one the starting price refers to.
Where you start, where you land
According to Interlaken Tourism, the usual launch is Beatenberg (Amisbühl) at 1,350 metres, a bus ride of about 20 minutes from town. You land at the Höhematte, the park in the middle of Interlaken. The flight is described as 10 to 20 minutes and a descent of around 800 metres. The 676-review listing also says 10 to 20 minutes in the air.
Interlaken Tourism also names other launch sites in the region: Niesen, Stockhorn, Schynige Platte, Niederhorn, Axalp and Turnen. Which one you get depends on the operator and the wind on the day, not on what you click.
The Mürren flight is a different trip
The Mürren flight is flown in the Lauterbrunnen–Mürren area, not above Interlaken, and is listed at two hours. It costs about €10 more. Choose it if you want to see the cliff walls of the Lauterbrunnen valley from the air. If you want the classic view of the two lakes and the town, book one of the Interlaken flights. For the valley on foot instead, see our guide to Lauterbrunnen, Mürren and the Schilthorn.
Before you book
- Weight and age. Interlaken Tourism gives a maximum of 100 kg and a minimum age of 6 for tandem flights in general. Each operator sets its own limits, so check the booking page.
- Weather. Flights depend on wind and visibility, and operators cancel or move them. Read the cancellation and rescheduling terms on the booking page, and keep a spare day in your plan if you can.
- Photos and video. Interlaken Tourism lists these as an optional extra bought after the flight. Check whether your listing includes them.
- Season. Flights are offered throughout the year, according to Interlaken Tourism. The weather decides whether you fly at all.
Who should skip it
Paragliding costs about €194 for a flight of 10 to 20 minutes. If heights make you sick, or you are close to the weight limit, a lake boat is a gentler way to see the same scenery; see our boat trips on Lake Brienz and Lake Thun, or Lake Brienz by kayak for something more active. If you can’t decide what to do with a single day, our page on things to do in Interlaken lists everything in one place.
Our pick
Book Interlaken: Tandem Paragliding Flight with Pilot unless a specific listing offers something you want, such as the choice of height or the Mürren valley. It is the most-reviewed flight by a wide margin and sits among the cheapest of the Interlaken flights.
